So our first ever season has come to an end yesterday and the ladies finished it off in style with two great wins at the Moat Ground on our very First Ladies Day. On behalf of the ladies we would like to thank Gresley Rovers FC for hosting us and being truly behind us as a section right from the beginning. Thank you to Gresley Rovers Girls FC for coming along and being mascots for the day and we can’t wait to see you all grow and start to join us over the years. Thank you to Mark Corns for giving up his time again to come along and taking photos. Thank you to all our sponsors for there support and hopefully you will be all onboard for next season 😉 BIG thank you to all our committee, coaches and parents for there support throughout the season. But our BIGGEST thank you has to go to all the players as without your hard work and determination none of this would have been possible and thank you for believing in us as a club. Yesterday evening it finally hit me as I cried several times looking at the photos, videos from yesterday. It’s finally sinking in that we are Double League Champions 🏆🏆 Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. This is one amazing football FAMILY that I am so proud to be part of. 🔴⚪️

Hi, I’m Jen, and I am the secretary for Gresley Rovers ladies. This is my first time being involved in running a club so the learning curve is steep but i do it to support my daughter and the rest of the ladies. I am a qualified chef by trade and currently work as a barista at M&S. I have my 2nd degree blackbelt in kickboxing and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for charity in 2017.

Lauren Steadman

Welfare Officer

Hi I’m Lauren Steadman. I have taken the role of welfare officer Gresley Rovers Ladies, I am very happy to be stepping in to this role to support the members of the club.
I currently play for the Ladies 1st team at Gresley, I have over 20 years experience of playing football competitively. My current job role is a deputy manager and SENDCO at a local nursery, I have worked in childcare for 13 years working in children’s entertainment, primary schools and nurseries. I have a wide range of training and knowledge which will support me in the role of welfare officer. I see myself as an outgoing and approachable person.

Treasurer

I’m Trina, I’ve decided to come aboard as the Treasurer for Gresley Rovers ladies as I fully understand how difficult it can be to ask for support with a voluntary role on a regular basis. Unpaid work is a hard job to advertise but I don’t see this as a job, it’s more of a hobby. I have always enjoyed watching my daughter play for a team and without the help from volunteers, grassroots teams wouldn’t get off the ground. I do this for my daughter and all her team mates

I’m Kevin, assistant coach for Gresley Ladies FC. Throughout my younger years I loved playing football, my children show that same interest and I want to be a part of their development, I am really looking forward to working with the team to help them develop and push female football further into the spotlight.

Mark Norton

Hi I’m Mark, assistant coach for the Gresley ladies FC U16’s and goalkeeping coach. I have a huge passion for coaching football and together with my other team I manage I love passing on my experience and passion to the players. Goalkeeping is an art form if coached correctly and my aim is to coach the next Mary Earps!

Hi I’m Dan, assistant coach for the Gresley ladies FC U16’s. With a wealth of playing and coaching experience i love to pass on my knowledge and enthusiasm for the game to the players
